GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining historical data, reconciling current data and assisting the Controller.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an important member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for:
- Monthly financial accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results for the operating companies.
- Preparing monthly lead sheets for account reconciliations for Controller
- Monthend, quarterend and yearend close
- Approving Accounts Payable invoices and EFT batch runs
- Uploading payroll data to Sage 300 after each payroll
- Complete all Intercompany accounting and manage the Administration Operating company in Sage 300
- Comparing actual results to budget; analyze, identify variances and report findings to Controller.
- Preparing account reconciliations including prepayments and accrual schedules, on a monthly basis.
- Charging back expenses to residents and reconciling.
- Maintaining Sage 300 integrity, including open and closing period, and approving batches.
- Balancing and reconciling Intercompany accounts
- Due to/from operations and report to Controller
- Manage donation funding and reconciliation
- Vacancy reporting for all locations
- Trust accounting and coding for Controller; preparing petty cash and trust letters
- Preparing ad hoc financial analysis as required by Controller and CFO
- Preparing note disclosure for quarterend and yearend.
- Training and mentoring junior staff on best practices; along with the Controller
- Covering staff on leave
- Assisting with internal and external audit controls as required.
- Continuously improving procedures; developing reports to drive insight and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Attaining a business/finance degree program or equivalent
- Minimum of 35 years' experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or similar position
- Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent technical learning, analytical and problemsolving skills
- Experience with Sage 300 is an asset

$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
