Clinic Overview:
We are a privately owned clinic within the Town of High River. We have on site IDEXX machines, and run our lab work in house. We are a small animal clinic servicing cats and dogs.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team.
As a Veterinarian, you will provide medical care and treatment to a variety of animals, ensuring their health and well-being.
This is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of both pets and their owners.Duties:
- Perform physical examinations on animals and diagnose illnesses or injuries
- Develop and implement treatment plans for animals, including prescribing medications and performing surgeries
- Conduct laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing animal health conditions
- Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care, such as dental cleanings and parasite control
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and behavior management
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care for animals
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the province of Alberta
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and diseases
- Excellent diagnostic and problemsolving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with compassion and professionalism
- Effective communication skills to educate pet owners and collaborate with the veterinary team
Skills:
- Laboratory: Experience conducting laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing animal health conditions.

From $60,000.00 per year

Experience:
