Description

Quality Control technician is responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes, testing of products, and recording and analyzing of results gathered during product development and production in an organization.

Responsibilities:

Ensure there is quality testing all the time; carry out inspections so as to meet the standard set by the organization
Focus on corrective actions in order to make sure that products meet required specifications
Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing
Collect regular samples for analysis
Work with the Plant Manager regarding specific information relating to product information and production
Ensure measuring equipment are functioning properly and calling for repairs where equipment are faulty
Approve finished products for onward shipment to the market
Work with the management and production managers to ensure that only quality products are produced
Help to check and update quality control policies
Work as a team under the supervision of the Plant Manager
Find solutions to customers' complaints and feedbacks
Monitor every stage of production to avoid product defects
Report Quality related issues to the Plant Manager

Qualifications:

Minimum 12 years relative experience as a Quality Control Technician
Available fulltime (40 hours per week)
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Bilingual

Competencies:

Excellent interpersonal and good communication skills which include the ability to teach and explain methodologies
Well skilled in quality processes and also statistical techniques
Knowledge about measurement and test equipment
Ability to work well in a team
Knowledge of relevant quality control standards
Ability to interpret instructions whether written, spoken, or in a diagram
Possess problemsolving skills
