You work as a key advisor in optimizing processes while promoting best industry practices as they relate to your field of expertise.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Manage the virtualization infrastructure, VMWare, Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure
  • Manage updates and deployments of physical servers, laptops and desktops
  • Automate tasks by utilizing script like PowerShell for repetitive tasks
  • Administer MS-SQL & Oracle databases
  • Verify backups integrity and recovery procedures in the event of a DRS
  • Manager VoIP telephony across multiple sites
  • Monitor infrastructure's performance, manage systems alerts and security incidents.
  • Act proactively to promote the availability and reliability of information systems
  • Manage network security, review security and audit logs, system patching, VPN, Antivirus, firewall and related network devices.
  • Design, develop, deploy and troubleshoot cloudbased systems (Azure, AWS..).
  • Document processes and systems along with tracking of assets and issues
  • Provide level 23 technical support and assist level 1 support team as needed
  • Provide afterhours and weekend support when required.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • DEC Information Technology with a minimum of 57 years experience as a System Administrator / Network Administrator, or any combination of experience deemed relevant.
  • Relevant Certification, MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA (ITF+, A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+)
  • Capability to learn and adapt quickly
  • Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Ability to interact with users to support and solve hardware and software issues
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English
  • Excellent customer approach

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

  • Virtualization & Cloud technologies: VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, AWS
  • Database Administration: Microsoft SQL, Oracle databases
  • Windows administration, Win , Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Office 365
  • Backup and Replication: Veeam
  • Networking: Routing, VLAN, Firewalls, VPN. (HPE, Cisco, Brocade, SonicWall)
  • Deployment Tools: AD GPO, SmartDeploy, Acronis, Intune
  • PowerShell, Scripting, Task automation
  • SharePoint server and O365 Online SharePoint administration
  • Experience with Hardware Technologies SAN, Clusters, RAID Arrays, Fiber Switches
  • IP Telephony: ShoreTel / Mitel. (Asset)
  • Linux OS (Asset)
  • Programing skills: PHP, Java, HTML, C++, (Asset)
