About the role
We're looking for a Unit Manager to join our growing team

This is a full-time permanent position ideally based in either Calgary, Vancouver or Toronto.


What you'll do here:


  • Develop, recommend, and implement leadership strategies, organizational structure, and processes/technology improvement initiatives
  • Provide effective leadership by continuously keeping staff informed on changes/results and share responsibility for the overall performance, productivity and engagement of team members.
  • Communicate on a regular basis with the commercial managers
  • Liaise & collaborate across the regions to ensure training is scheduled properly and running smoothly

What you bring to the table:

  • Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 35 years of Commercial Lines experience
  • Experience in coaching and developing staff
  • Demonstrates the Leadership Success Factors
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Completed or are working toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and brokers
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills and capable of working in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail
