    Description

    Alberta Health Services - North Zone, and the communities of Hinton and Edson are currently looking to recruit an OBGYN Visiting Specialist to work alongside the local physicians and provide services in Gynecology consults and procedures, with the possibility of providing High Risk Obstetrical consults on occasion. The ideal candidate will visit the community approximately 24 times per year (2-4 consecutive days per visit).

    The successful candidate is required to offer services within the Hinton Healthcare Centre and Edson Healthcare Centre.

    This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services.

    Duties include but not limited to:

    • Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the Services.
    • Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.
    • Current Alberta Practice Permit to practice in the advertised position (proof of to be included with application).
    • Have certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC).
    • Re cent and relevant experience in all areas of practice required, as Most Responsible Physician.
