The Role:
The Coordinator, Permits is responsible for the coordination with architects (internal and external) to ensure all information is received and packaged to submit permits on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates plot plan process and maintain internal request sheets.
- Monitors consultant workloads and escalate to Manager, Permits & Foundations as required.
- Maintain NSEWeb and complete regular updates.
- Coordinate grading management process.
- Input grade condition into NSEWeb.
- Use cut sheet creator to create all cut sheets.
- Collaborate with the Automation team to optimize the program.
- Maintain cut sheet database.
- Submit cheque requests for building permits.
- Submit permits into City of Ottawa portal and upload information into internal databases.
- Maintain SharePoint library for master footprints, city redline notes and any other relevant files.
- Manage map creator and generate various site maps (starts, closings, permit status)
- Perform other duties as required.
You will bring:
- University degree or College Diploma related to Construction Engineering Technician, Civil Engineering Technology, or similar field.
- 13 years of experience in a similar role within a development or construction environment
- Analytical and detailoriented with a keen focus on producing accurate and high caliber work
- Excellent communication and analytical problemsolving skills
- Selfmotivated and excels both in a team and independently
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency working in Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Excel, and SharePoint programs
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Requires a reliable vehicle with a G class driving permit
