Description

Established in 1955, Rosborough Boats designs and builds semi-custom vessels for both the Recreational Marine market and Professional Marine Industry.

We currently seeking a Draftsperson for our Systems Integration Shop located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will work as part of the Systems Integration team preparing architectural designs and drawings, ensuring they conform to specifications provided.

Duties:

Execute 2D & 3D drawings for various uses including: Proposals, Class Approvals and Production

Collaborating with production managers on layout, equipment, mechanical and electrical placement drawings

Support sales department in technical writing and bid proposals

Work with Sales / Management / Production on the developments of new products

Maintain Rosborough Boats' Technical Library

Generate and modify drawings from various custom metal work and GRP pieces

Coordinate any tests (theoretical or physical) for boats or components

Ensure BOM (standard and custom) is up to date in the ERP System (PierVantage)

Communicate with partner firms and suppliers on integrating new products into current designs

Requirements:

Proficient in using computer aided design and drafting software

Knowledge of marine industry and marine vocabulary considered an asset

Strong attention to quality and detail

Exceptional time management skills

Proven trouble shooting / problem solving skills
