Reports to:
Plant Manager


Job purpose:
To supervise and coordinate activities of production at all processing steps at DC Donut Bakery.

To ensure a safe workplace for all employees.


To ensure production meets or exceeds company quality and cost standards, by following GMP Regulations, the company's SOP, SSOP and Work Instructions.


Key responsibilities and accountability:


At the beginning of the shift:

  • Be punctual in arriving at work in order to set up the work area and understand the work schedule.
  • Responsible for coordinating the activities of the production operation, in all areas: production, decoration, packing, and sanitation during the shift.
  • Produce any product from mixing to packing following the company standards quality & quantity specifications.
  • Comply with company rules, standards according to GMP & BRC requirements
  • Accurately record all production/packing during the shift and request all daily raw material.
  • Report any deviation from standards or processes to Management immediately Suggest improvements in your area.
  • As a competent person who instructs, directs, and controls all team members in the performance of their duties the Supervisor LEADS by example and communicates effectively with your team and the Management. FAMILIARIZE any team member with the operations of the area. DECIDE which equipment to use and the makeup of the crew require to achieve the results expected. ENSURE that all safety rules are followed.
  • Be present on the floor and control changeover of the shift and monitor (fill Sign in /out brake schedule record) and follow the same during the shift, as well and punch clock sign-in/out
  • Organize employees to set up equipment and organize employees for their working positions (to bring ingredients or packaging material from the warehouse
  • Manage the production process to complete a defined production schedule as assigned by the Production Manager for the shift.
  • Train new employees in their position.
  • Communicate effectively with area lead hands to ensure an optimal production flow
  • Ensure the plant is clean and organized at all times
  • Print and organize labels (outside and inside) for the scheduled production of the day
  • Check employees and each working position from mixing to the packaging and storing in the freezer for proper and timely recording of activities.
  • Make sure that products meet the DC Donut Bakery standard regarding food safety and quality.
  • Ensure that every rack is tagged in the production process (from mixing to packaging according to company policies)
  • Ensure that all plant doors closed at all the times
  • Turn off all machines, and instruct the night cleaner on specific duties.
  • Update waste report
  • Make a detailed shift report with all findings regarding employees, equipment, finished products, and others
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Management

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
