  • The job is demanding and success in this role requires sound judgment, leadership and organizational skills, initiative, inclusive consideration through multiple perspectives, and practical decision making.   • Conduct intake meetings on respectful workplace matters, evaluate risks, triage issues and provide recommendations on next steps.
  • Investigate respectful workplace and human rights concerns thoroughly and impartially to produce clear and concise reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of related legislation and jurisprudence around investigative practices to ensure prompt and highquality investigations.
  • Work with key partners to periodically survey industry and/or market on a national level to identify emerging investigation and interview trends and provide recommendations for improvements as necessary.
  • Assist with the maintenance of educational content, communication tools and templates related to respectful workplace investigations in a variety of mediums.

Qualifications

  • A related degree and at least 5 years of experience investigating complex respectful workplace issues, preferably in a large, complex organization.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.
  • Expertise in writing clear and concise reports is required.
  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License (or provincial equivalent) and access to a personal vehicle for business use, or reliable transportation to access remote work sites is required.
  • Specialized investigation training, and/or a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation is an asset.
  • Success in this role requires a resilient individual with excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks, and strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
