- Assist in creating, allocating and processing order requests.
- Performs routine inventory for all orders in their control.
- Ensure the accuracy of transfer of inventories into permanent storage.
- Data entry and organizing of samples.
- Sample preparation and labeling for downstream processing.
- Multitask several projects, adjust to changing priorities.
- Assist in maintaining the laboratory by performing preventive maintenance and assuring a clean and safe environment.
- Meets individual and departmental goals and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required; preference will be given towards additional higher education in a Life Science field, or equivalent experience.
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Neogen is looking to hire an intern this summer to work as a Laboratory Assistant. This individual will be responsible for assisting in managing the inventories of samples in process and long-term storage. Helping implement storage and organization solutions for a growing biobank of biological samples, and other duties as assigned by a Supervisor or Manager.
