POSITION OVERVIEW

LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT SKILLS:


  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities that will allow client facing teams to complete complex review and compliance engagements, as well as budgeting, internal controls, corporate tax returns and financial/accounting transactions.
  • Deliver expert industry and technical expertise in assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and the creation of highquality deliverables.
  • Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and the ability to research issues, present alternatives and conclusions.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients while understanding their business, issues, concerns, key risks and ways to deliver added value and find opportunities; ensure clients' goals are understood, needs are met, and that relationships and accounts grow and develop. Ensuring on time client deliverables by working with internal departments in the Firm.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational planning related to client and practice management, as well as the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes.
  • Continue to develop an area of focus to participate in firm development.
  • Participate in various activities to promote the Firm. Consider business development opportunities and contribute and assist with the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet client needs.
  • Exhibit integrity, energy, enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment to support the Firm's overall vision and mission.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:


  • Manage a team of 5 remote employees (junior, intermediate, senior, bookkeepers and administration). Train and support team to help them grow professionally by providing valuable feedback.
  • With an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, schedule and plan work capacity for team members and help design, implement, review their work, and monitor processes and project financials (i.e., budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition) to help improve efficiency and productivity. Coordinate information, integrate systems, and discuss processes with team members and clients.
  • Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations, providing feedback and conducting regular scheduled performance reviews.

CLIENT SERVICE:


  • Our accounting services include compilation, review engagements, all related corporate/personal tax filings, client forecasting, budgeting and various consulting activities.
  • The Manager is expected to participate in the year end meeting with clients (with participation of the respective Partner) and perform technical work, outside the capabilities of team accountants.
  • Simplify complex issues to different audiences. Communicate with clients regularly, clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, and in a timely manner.
  • Provide advisory services to originate, develop and maintain longlasting client relationships.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • CPA Designation
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small to midsized accounting firm environment
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience reviewing the work of junior staff, hiring and training
  • Strong proficiency with cloudbased technology, with exceptional technical skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of investment holding company accounting write ups, reconciliations, and taxation

EXCELLENT COMPUTER SKILLS & USE OF THE FOLLOWING SOFTWARE:

  • Microsoft Office (strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook)
