Tap & Barrel South Surrey is looking for full time dishwashers who are motivated, outgoing, energetic individuals to join our culinary team in our brand new, and first location outside of Vancouver


STEWARDING/DISHWASHER


The role of the Dishwasher is to execute cleaning duties and general support to the various tasks of the Kitchen.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a professional kitchen appearance
  • Takes control of all aspects of sanitation according to the restaurant standards
  • Have basic knowledge of the setup of the food preparation area
  • Adhere to standards for cleaning dishes and equipment, equipment, proper storage of utensils and tools, garbage removal, recycling products, cardboard
  • Work effectively as part of the team
  • Always adhere to all health and safety practices
  • Maintain the organization of the dish area, help reduce breakage
  • Report all maintenance, damages, and any issues with restaurant to sous chef or Executive Chef
  • Clean and sanitize

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years stewarding experience
  • This position does require a high degree of physicality such as lifting and carrying.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Multitasking and able to work at a fast pace and have strong prioritization skills
  • Documentation of food safe certificate
  • Ability to quickly retain knowledge and skills

PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF POSITION:

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift
  • Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps

Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour
