Description
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Work setting:
- Nursing home/home for the aged
Tasks:
- Ensure availability of supplies and equipment
- Assist in the establishment of unit policies and procedures
- Assist in the selection, evaluation and professional development of personnel
- Ensure that quality nursing care is provided and that appropriate administrative procedures are followed
- Set up and coordinate nursing services in conjunction with other health services
- Supervise registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and other nursing personnel
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
