Riverview Enhanced Living is a community of care, support, and advocacy for adults with varying abilities. We are actively seeking
Continuing Care Assistants (CCAs) to join our team in Dayspring, NS.

The CCA will participate as an active member of the care team and will provide direct personal care to participants in accordance with their individual care plan.

Core Job Functions:


  • Review and update care plans on a daily basis
  • Responsible for providing service to participants in accordance with the individual care plan
  • Assist with uncontrollable behaviour of participants including assistance with crisis control procedures
  • Support participants instrumental activities of daily living
  • Demonstrate an ability to learn about the implication of each participants disease, disorder or condition or personal circumstance and to adapt as appropriate to effectively implement the care plan
  • Assist in facilitation of the participants readiness for transfer within the facility

About You:


  • Minimum Grade 12 education
  • Completed CCA or CDS course or personal experience
  • Certified in emergency first aid/CPR
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment, ability to make decisions quickly and control crisis situations
