***Strike is looking for Light Equipment Operator with relevant experience in oil & gas construction/facility maintenance. Typical day to day work will be to load and unload material, move aggregate material, rig and transport material throughout site, work outside equipment as necessary supporting labour/trades crews.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES- Assist in aligning pipes and performing related activities during assembly- Operate a telehandler to move and lift pipe spools, load trailers, and transport other miscellaneous material throughout the site

  • Assist other tradespeople with the completion of their duties when required
  • Conduct preoperational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment
  • Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices
  • Participate in prejob toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
  • Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks
  • Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

Education

  • Must possess valid Ground Disturbance (101 or 201) and CSTS 09/2020 tickets
  • Must possess a valid, nongraduated driver's license

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

  • Must be able to pass preemployment drug & alcohol testing
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working outdoors
