$75,788 - $ 80,626

Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) serves approximately 15,400 students each day at 39 in-person schools (32 elementary, two K-12; four 7-12, one secondary).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Communications and Privacy Manager, the Communications Officer will produce high quality communications and communication plans linked to the HPEDSB strategic plan, build and maintain a strategic social media engagement plan, strive for accessibility standards in all communications, and produce various graphics.

This position will engage with schools, departments in responding to concerns, will communicate with various stakeholders including staff, students, families, community partners, and the general public, and will monitor, measure and report on the effectiveness of communications initiatives and programs, track metrics, and look for trends and data to guide communication strategies.

This position will also write website content and work collaboratively with Information and Technology Services on website development.
