Communications and Events Coordinator (Maternity Leave)
Full-time hours (40hrs/wk). Salaried. Full benefit package available (health, dental, RRSP matching).

Term Position:
Starting January 29, 2024, to January 31, 2025. Possibility of position extension.
Responsibilities:
- Communication: _
- Proofing and editing of newsletters, quarterly appeals, and staff letters
- Contacting lapsed donors to reengage
- Communicating with the ICYA team to staff all events
- Communicating with ICYA team on event updates
- Confident with verbal and electronic communication Gala and Event
- Preparation:_
- Coordinating and organizing venues, performers, speakers, meals, decor etc
- Organizing guest list and seating
- Coordinating mailers to supporters (invitation, tickets, etc.)
- Working with other admin staff to coordinate project needs
- Connecting with vendors and community groups
- Onsite coordination
Donor Care:
_
- Alongside the Development Team you will assist in donor thank You's, follow ups, and ICYA tour invites during event off season
- Work in Salesforce (CRM) to update supporter data
- Foster healthy donor relationships
Personal:
- Maintain a vibrant spiritual life and to seek to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through the reading of the scriptures, prayer, and personal discipleship.
- Allow time for the spiritual disciplines in their life. Quarterly retreat times for the purpose of prayer, fasting, and quiet reflection are encouraged. A personal mentor or accountability group is recommended as support in their ministry.
- Seek out training opportunities that will better equip them for ministry.
Skills you'll bring to our team:
- A strong passion to share stories and updates from Winnipeg's North End.
- Creativity in telling stories about what is happening in the ICYA community
- Team player open to working together with many different individuals
- Familiar with use of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Canva and other social media best practices
- Familiarity with basic web design and publishing
- Multitasking, good timemanagement, organized, and great interpersonal and communication skills

Full-time, Fixed term contract

- French not required
Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Winnipeg, MB R2W 1V7 (required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Winnipeg, MB R2W 1V7: Relocate before starting work (required)
