    We are looking for a Banquet Manager for our Silvertip Resort located in Canmore, Alberta. A successful candidate is required to work as per the company values: Safety, Caring, Integrity, Excellence, Team Spirit and Financial Responsibility.

    Banquet Manager Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Reports to General Manager.
  • Plan, organize, communicate, coordinate and execute all events on property weddings season - May through October)
  • Work closely with Sales and Events team to ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEO) are detailed and updated to execute events.
  • Checks room set-ups for correctness against BEO
  • Conducts pre-function briefings and relates all pertinent information with team.
  • Handles guest concerns and assist with resolution.
  • Ensure financial reporting is accurate (i.e. team payroll, guests billing etc..)
  • Weekly meetings with Banquet Team, and Culinary Team to update business demand and plan team schedules accordingly.
  • Communicate and effectively manage all banquet files and folders.
  • Accurate and timely administration of all banquets.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and continuously review guest experience to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in recruitment cycle for banquet employees.
  • Provide support for other F&B outlets, as needed.
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in a similar capacity is mandatory.
  • Attention to detail in a faced paced, high volume work environment is a must.
  • Experience in weddings, golf events, meetings and F&B service industry is considered a strong asset.
  • Flexible to ever-changing client's requirements.
  • High sense of urgency and able to meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be available to work outside of traditional business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Must be highly energetic, Self-starter and have a positive disposition.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada full-time.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with others.
  • Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Professional appearance and manners.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license is required.
