The Graphic Design Intern is responsible for providing support to the Impact team through a variety of channels such as print, digital, web, video and others as assigned.

They will report to the Graphics lead and will assist with the development and design of multiple client's graphics, logos, digital collateral and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned.

The Graphic Design Intern will also be assigned various website updates utilizing Wordpress, Wix and Squarespace.


Responsibilities:


  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions
  • Prepare and find images to coincide with a variety of social media and blog posts
  • Assist with website and blog updates on Wordpress, Wix and Squarespace websites
  • Assist with collateral updates and version control
  • Creation and updates to various digital collateral
  • Assist the Brand Manager with new and upcoming projects
Qualifications/Skills

  • Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and administrative skills
  • Experienced with web design
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframes
  • Excellent computer knowledge on both Mac and PC platforms
  • Organized and able to take on multiple tasks at the same time
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and objectives
  • Able to work effectively in a team setting
  • Reliable, punctual and efficient
  • Available to work occasionally outside normal working hours
  • Bilingualism is an asset
  • Interest in politics is an asset
Education and Experience

  • Currently in or graduated from a program related to graphic design or are passionate about graphic design
  • Experience in an office setting in a similar role
