Your Opportunity:


The Health Information Management (HIM) Supervisor, Registration, Switchboard, Patient Information, Health Information Records Management, and Data Collection for Central Zone Rural - South, performs a leadership role in Health Information Management and reports directly to the Manager, HIM, Central Zone Rural.

This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of Registration, Switchboard, Patient Information, Health Information Records Management, and Data Collection.

This position is responsible and accountable for making unit-level decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of Registration, Switchboard, Patient Information, Health Information Records Management, and Data Collection.

This position also plays a key leadership role in the transformation and execution of technology enabled business processes or e-HIM, transitioning from site and zone-based practices to standardized workflows within Connect Care and other 3rd party systems across Alberta Health Services (AHS).

The HIM Supervisor, will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Diploma or equivalency in Business Administration Management and/or another equivalency.

Successful completion of a health information management program certified by the Canadian College of Health Information Management and an active certification credential with the Canadian Health Information Management Association A minimum of 3-5 year in a supervisor capacity ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity, and diversity.

A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively using the English language.
