The Regulatory Compliance Manager is responsible for the leadership, innovation, and governance necessary to identify and document compliance requirements observed by CUCM and ascertain that sound processes have been implemented to comply with all applicable compliance legislative, regulatory and internal policy requirements.


This role supports the designated Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) for CUCM and acts as the designated Chief Anti-Money-Laundering Officer (CAMLO) and as the designated Privacy Officer for CUCM.


Key Accountabilities include:
- identify and document compliance requirements for CUCM and ascertain that sound processes have been implemented to comply with those requirements

  • Monitor and maintain the overall Compliance Framework including policies, (including the Code of Conduct), procedures, and assessment processes (such as the annual CUCM Compliance Questionnaire). Ensure the overall Compliance Framework remains current and effective. This includes attention to processes required for CUCM's compliance obligations re services provided by third parties.
  • Monitor and research updates to legislative and regulatory requirements observed by CUCM, as well as best practices, and provide recommendations to senior management regarding required policy updates or improvements
  • Responsible for identifying Compliance Owners and ensure they receive appropriate training to understand and fulfill their compliance obligations; report on same to Audit & Risk Committee.
  • Prepare regular and ad hoc analysis and reporting to senior management, the Audit & Risk Committee, and the Board of Directors.
  • Identify the key compliance requirements contained within CUCM internal policies; ensure all CUCM internal policies have assigned owners and are up to date; incorporate internal policy requirements into the annual CUCM Compliance Questionnaire
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments under the _PCMLTF Act_ and Regulations and ensure CUCM policies and procedures remain current; carry out a formal review of all PCMLTFrelated policies and procedures every two years and report on same to the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are followed in relation to account opening and other CUCM activities within the scope of PCMLTFA.
  • Develop and maintain training procedures. Identify all CUCM employees involved in transactions or related transactions within scope of PCMFTFA and provide annual training to that audience as well provide annual PCMLTF training to the Board of Directors.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments under _PIPEDA_ (_Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act_) and Regulations and ensure CUCM policies and procedures remain current; carry out a formal review of all _PIPEDA_related policies and procedures every two years and report on same to the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Ensure appropriate procedures are followed in the event of a privacy breach and other CUCM activities within scope of _PIPEDA_, including completion of a prescribed RROSH (Real Risk of Significant Harm) analysis where required.
  • Carry out an internal review of all personally identifiable information collected by CUCM; analyze and report on any risk identified to CUCM to senior management; ensure appropriate measures are taken to remediate identified risk.
Education equivalent to completion of three to four years bachelor program at a university. The role requires four years relevant experience to perform the job effectively.
