    Stratford Orthodontics is looking for a passionate and energetic full-time Permanent Level II Dental Assistant to join our well-established practice in Stratford, ON.

    What you will be doing - key responsibilities:

    • Lead the patient experience through exceptional customer service skills.
    • Take intra-oral records and radiographs.
    • Provide exceptional assisting skills to our clinical team.
    • Assist in the Orthodontists examination, entering data and listening to the conversation between patient and doctor taking appropriate notes in the patient's chart.
    • Review the treatment plan with the patient and use the available tools to educate them on the available options. (Videos, power-point, pictures, etc.).
    • Assist in the orthodontic examination/ consultation, entering data and listening to the conversation between patient and doctor taking appropriate notes in the patient's chart.
    • Work with the patient and/or responsible party to design financial payment plans that work for them and help our patients attain the beautiful smile they've always wanted.
    • Generate correspondence from initial consultation, recall examinations for the referring dentist or other specialists and follow up with patients who are ready for treatment.
    • Perform Invisalign scans.
    • Sterilization of instruments by adhering to the RCDSO infection control protocols
    • Provide oral health education to our patients and families.
    • Ability to perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the practice.

    • A capable Dental Assistant, willing to perform expanded duties in the clinic.
    • Ability to work cohesively in a small, tight-knit team.
    • Great time management and organisational skills to maintain efficient flow of the clinic.

    What you bring - qualifications:

    • 1+ years experience as a Dental Assistant
    • 1+ years of orthodontic experience (preferred)
    • Successfully completed a Level 2 Dental Assistant Certificate.
    • HARP certification
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; proficiency with orthodontic management software systems is an asset.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
    • Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.
    • Strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills.
