We are accepting applications for the role of Production Superintendent located in Sudbury Ontario Canada The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the production department ensuring that targets are achieved safely efficiently and in alignment with company policies and regulatory standards Reporting to the Project Manager this role provides leadership to the production team while working collaboratively across departments to optimize processes and advance continuous improvement initiatives
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the production team to achieve production targets while adhering to safety health environmental and quality standards
- Develop and implement production plans schedules and strategies to optimize resource utilization and maximize productivity
- Monitor production activities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary to enhance efficiency minimize downtime ensure compliance with regulatory requirements company policies related mine operations safety environmental stewardship collaborate maintenance engineering other departments coordinate equipment maintenance repair activities minimize disruptions production foster culture safety teamwork continuous improvement among personnel effective communication training development programs prepare analyze reports KPIs performance metrics track progress against targets identify opportunities improve manage budgetary cost control activities labor equipment supplies work collaboratively Union manage manner supportive compliant collective agreement obligations support implementation new technologies processes systems enhance efficiency effectiveness participate meetings reviews audits provide updates on performance challenges initiatives contribute positively respectful work environment accordance Code Conduct Healthy Safe Respectful Workplace policy perform duties assigned
