- Investigation, evaluation, negotiation and settlement and administration of all Accident Benefit claims
- Handle MIG and non-MIG files up to the point of CAT
- This role does not have an ADR component, although, there is opportunity to be part of mediations, arbitrations and discoveries as learning opportunities
- Minimum of 2-3 years Accident Benefits claims handling experience
- Well-honed negotiation skills
- Through knowledge of the legislation that governs these benefits (SABS)
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
- Strong organizational and time management skills coupled with strong decision-making skills
- Post- secondary education in a related field, and/or working towards CIP designation would be preferred
