Job Description:

Artcraft Kitchens, a leading cabinet manufacturing firm, in Niagara Falls, ON, requires a technical support/draftsperson with a strong technical background.

Proficiency in AutoCad/Revit and drafting is essential.

Responsibilities:

Act as a technical consultant, working with Engineering and Marketing to setup drawings of custom cabinetry
Review project files for compliance with standards/protocols
Produce and maintain design drawings for projects
Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements
Communicate with internal and external clients to resolve concerns
Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D models
Coordinate production of drawings in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines
Managing, editing and enhancing the manufacturing and sales design tools and databases
Develop and maintain Revit content using parameters and families as required
Development of promotional materials such as sales brochures
Development and maintenance of company online presence including catalogues, social media and websites

Qualities and Skills required:

Previous kitchen design experience is a definite asset
3 years previous drafting experience is a required
Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods and tools required in various cabinet construction processes
Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team
Must have an understanding and experience with Revit families and parameters
Proficient in current release AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
Willingness to learn new technology as it is released and enhanced
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software including: MS Outlook, MS Excel and MS Word
Able to read and interpret schematics, drawings and plans
Degree or Diploma in a related field
Architecture, Drafting, Interior Design or Mechanical Engineering
Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills
Able to prioritize and multitask. Must be able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment
Must be creative, a problem solver, analytical and have a great eye for detail
Selfmotivated and able to take responsibility
Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task
Flexible and dependable attitude
Able to demonstrate enthusiasm for engineering and a willingness to learn and contribute to the success of a project, the project team and the firm.
