Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Director, Corporate Accounting on a permanent basis on our Finance team. This position requires onsite work, with flexibility, based in Saskatoon, SK.
Are you looking for an opportunity to contribute to a well-respected organization and Finance team by providing valuable insight and accounting expertise on varied and complex issues? We are looking for someone to provide leadership to a diverse group of accountants and collaborate in business decision making to achieve the strategic objectives of FCL.
What you'll do:
- Provide leadership and responsibility for all accounting functions and presentation of business unit and consolidated financial statements including the annual budget process.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement to strengthen processes that advance financial, administrative, management and operational accounting.
- Evaluate and recommend courses of action to maximize financial and operational results to assist business units in achieving their desired results.
- Support the complete annual audit process as the key accounting expert. Ensure compliance with fiscal policies, internal controls, accounting standards and financial processes.
Who you'll work with:
You will be responsible for two direct reports and will advise the teams that they are responsible for: Corporate Accounting and Financial Reporting.
You will work closely with various business units and will report into the Associate Vice President, Accounting on a team that strives to cultivate a culture of engagement, continuous improvement and innovation with a commitment to quality.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Finance and:
- Have 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience in financial management.
- Have a university degree in Business or Commerce (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Have a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
