Responsibilities:

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Specialist, Talent Acquisition.

  • Works with designated HR Business Partners to align business priorities with labour needs; based on clients' recruitment forecasts and organization structure needs. Ensures the timely and effective planning, integration and execution for major recruitment initiatives.


Job Responsibilities (continued):

  • Ensures staffing actions are accurately reflected in applicant tracking system and SAP in a timely fashion to ensure data integrity, and avoid any negative impacts on employees.
  • Maintains a network of internal and external contacts to regularly benchmark and remain current on demographics, future trends and developments related to government standards, industry practices, legislation, guidelines and programs related to HR. Participates in external networking events, associations and career fairs to promote CPC brand.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Completed postsecondary, preferably in a related field OR a combination of equivalent professional experience and training.
Experience

  • 13 years of relevant functional experience.
  • 1 or more years of experience in a unionized environment an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills and competent with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Strong communications, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to proactively work with hiring managers to drive the recruitment process.
  • Knowledge of common human resources practices, employment laws and/or government compliance regulations that affect recruitment.
