Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Support Coordinator to join our IT support team. This role is essential in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to ensure the smooth operation of our organization's computer systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a solid understanding of various operating systems, and experience with a range of IT support tools. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting end-users and maintaining critical IT services across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for desktop and laptop computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist users with issues related to operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Manage and resolve service requests using ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy ticketing systems.
  • Support network connectivity issues involving LAN, VPN, firewall configurations, and computer networking protocols.
  • Configure and maintain operating systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office suite.
  • Support hardware installation, upgrades, and maintenance for desktops, servers, and network equipment.
  • Monitor system performance and security to prevent outages or breaches.
  • Collaborate with team members to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Document procedures, solutions, and configurations for future reference.
  • Communicate effectively with end-users to provide exceptional customer service and technical guidance.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Experience with VPN setup and troubleshooting for remote access solutions.
  • Familiarity with network components such as LANs, firewalls, and switches.
  • Proficiency in using ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy for incident management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems or applications like Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and basic repair techniques.
  • Experience supporting desktop support functions in a help desk environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively assist users at various technical skill levels.
  • Understanding of security protocols including firewall management and network security best practices.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring multitasking. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about IT support who thrive on solving technical problems efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $47,371.44-$75,000.00 per year
