Our law firm is a fast-growing, full-service law firm. The core of our practice is litigation including family law, construction law, labour/employment law and civil/commercial litigation. We have an immediate opening for a senior family lawyer with 7-plus years of experience to work with our family law team.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage assigned caseload
  • Draft and respond to correspondence
  • Prepare pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
  • Telephone and inperson contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
  • Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
  • Track billable time
  • Assist the supervising lawyers in all phases of the practice

Qualifications:


  • Must be admitted to Ontario Bar
  • 7+ Years Practicing Family Law
  • Empathetic, and levelheaded demeanour to properly handle sensitive family law matters
  • Possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
