Description

Norellco Contractors is an Edmonton-based company servicing heavy construction from small to large projects. Our main projects consist of roadbuilding, grading, and water and sewer installations.

Job Profile:

Perform preventive maintenance servicing, oil and filter changes as per manufacturer specifications.
Perform all maintenance interval oil sampling and complete the required documentation.
Provide fuel and lubrication, oil and other required fluid services on mobile equipment using a field service truck and/or in a shop environment.
Perform minor repairs on equipment and vehicles.
Clean equipment and perform equipment inspections for preventative maintenance.
Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
Maintain daily logs and service records.
Assist mechanics with equipment repairs as required.
Must ensure an understanding of, and comply with the company's Health and Safety program, including safe work practices and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic
23 years of experience working as a fuel/lube service person, or similar mechanical role preferred
Knowledge of and experience with Heavy Equipment maintenance
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Analysis and problem solving skills.
Periodic extended work hours may be required.

Requirements:

Valid and clean Driver's License
Class 3 or 5 w/Air Brakes
Use of personal protective equipment is required.
Travel as required.
Overtime as required.
Must comply with all company policies.
Work environment is mainly outdoors, and in all weather conditions.

Salary:
$27.00-$34.00 per hour

Schedule:

Day shift
Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

Nisku, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- field service person: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- and clean Driver's License with Air Brakes Endorsement (Q) (preferred)
