Description

We are looking for our next Human Resources Coordinator


The Human Resources Coordinator has a key role in our global organization supporting both our Vancouver and Global HR Team in the areas of Talent Acquisition, Talent Engagement & Development, and Talent Operations.

This role offers a variety of tasks ranging from administrative support, front line HR operations to various HR projects. This role is hybrid (3 days in office and 2 days remote) based in our Downtown Vancouver Office.

The HR Coordinator will come with great people, organizational, and problem-solving skills along with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.


Some of the thing you'll be doing

_Talent Acquisition _

  • Ensure accuracy of job descriptions, provide salary recommendations, and ensure these are aligned with corporate standards.

_Talent Engagement & Development _

  • Conduct new hire orientation sessions to ensure Teekay standards are adhered to.
  • Advise managers on onboarding practices for new hires and coordinate probationary reviews.
  • Support updating of all job descriptions and maintain our job description catalogue as part of our Talent Development programs.
  • Support with the administration of Total Rewards, including the annual short term incentive program and merit review process in addition to Total Rewards related communications including salary adjustments, bonus payments, promotional decisions, and benefit changes.
  • Support employee offboarding including advising managers on offboarding practices, conducting exit interviews and related employee questions.
  • Partner with the HR team to support performance development and learning programs.
  • Foster employee engagement through participation in the wellness committee and social committee initiatives.

_Talent Operations _

  • Provide HR operational support in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, systems, policies and guidelines, leaves, and employee questions.
  • Act as a regional HR Superuser for HR Systems including Oracle Human Capital Management.
  • Administer HR sites in SharePoint, including HR tools and templates, in addition to providing support to the HR systems owners to maintain the overall quality and accuracy of systems information.
  • Complete internal and external reporting requirements including monthly headcount reports, annual equity reports, requests from internal and external auditors, ensuring accuracy of data and relevance of reporting metrics used.
  • Prepare and update documents, templates, process flows, and other relevant materials as required.
  • Support policy reviews and governance to ensure compliance with any changes in legislation and provide guidance with any interpretation and clarification required by the HR teams or business.
  • Maintain knowledge of employment standards and regulations, and ensure all internal processes, programs and policies are reflective of relevant standards.
  • Provide payroll & benefits support as needed.
  • Support HR projects as needed.

What we are looking for

  • University Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
years of experience in Human Resources.

  • Customerservice mindset with a strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinker with strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work well both independently as well as part of a team.
  • Takes initiative and has a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Able to manage confidential matters in a discreet manner.
  • Technically savvy with expert level computer skills, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with an ATS and/or HRIS (Oracle HCM is preferred).
  • Experience in payroll is an asset (ADP WorkForceNow is preferred).

The typical base salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $75,000.

In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive compensation package including bonus eligibility, an annual Flexible Spending Allowance, extended health benefits, and a company matched pension program.
