PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Manage and have responsibility for all aspects of production operations and ensure appropriate Health & Safety controls, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety Programs (SQF) are followed while meeting production deadlines.
  • Provide oversight and decision making to support the Operations Leader
  • Emphasize teamwork, provide leadership & coaching, feedback and support to the production team in a constructive and respectful manner.
  • Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, preparing shift reports and updating & tracking production KPI's.
  • Fulfill people management duties, including attendance management, compliance with safety regulations, performance management, conflict resolution, and related tasks.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization prior to a run.
  • Investigating rootcause analysis and implementing corrective actions and preventative measures related to nonconformances.
  • Be a change agent who challenges existing processes that create waste and nonvalueadded work.
  • Communicate expectations to production team members on procedures for safety, quality, productivity & efficiency.
  • Identify and present opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives within the production operations.
  • Monitor inventory of raw material & finished products, perform weekly/monthly cycle count.
  • Ensures the successful completion of the daytoday operations of the production team.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Manager.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:


  • Completion of secondary school

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 1+ years experience as a production supervisor or in a leadership role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, selfmotivated, and energetic; a true team player and team builder, able to work and thrive in fast growing team environment.
  • Desire for continuous improvement individually and for the overall business.
  • Are familiar with GFSI, HACCP, and other related food safety programs/certifications, operational health & safety programs.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and the ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Have strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with various production software systems would be an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Meticulous records maintenance skills and detail oriented.
