SUMMARY:

This position will be responsible for the coordination of work to ensure the successful completion of production schedules and shipments.

The production planning/manufacturing coordinator will work closely with purchasing, production, and shipping to ensure orders are met within the given timeframe.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of production orders to ensure the successful completion of production schedules and shipments
Work closely with the purchasing, production, and shipping teams to ensure client orders are met within the given timeframe
Coordinate with other management to obtain the maximum use of resources, including material management to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
Keep track of incoming materials (raw materials, packaging components etc.) and assign to production orders accordingly as they are received
Provide input throughout inhouse processes with the objective of reducing overall costs
Assist in the coordination of production schedules
Coordinate with other supervisors, leads, and managers to obtain maximum use of resources
Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand
Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience in production coordination or a related role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
Strong inventory and production management skills
Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating within internal departments
Highly capable of multitasking, with mínimal supervision
Extremely detailoriented and analytical thinker.
Able to interface directly with cross functional teams.
Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and audits.
Proven problem identification skills.
High level of proficiency with BatchMaster ERP system and Microsoft Office productivity suite
