Durisol Noise Barrier Systems is the market leader in the noise barrier and retaining wall industry.

Our company is a designer, supplier, and installer of proprietary noise and retaining wall systems - including Durisol precast absorptive noise barrier panels, transparent noise barriers, fire-rated barriers, narrow footprint retaining walls and MSE retaining walls.

We perform all duties associated with our jobs, including sales, engineering/design, manufacturing, installation, and construction support.

  • In this role you will _
  • Assist with Managing subcontractors and ensure their work aligns with the project schedule, quality standards, project scope/drawings and contract documents
  • Implement regular quality checks to ensure installation work meets Durisol standards and expectations, and complies with project specific ITPs.
  • Ensure the work area is ready for construction, relaying any necessary information to subcontractors/construction manager to ensure they are prepared for existing site conditions.
  • Work with the project team to ensure all documentation is available prior to arriving on site. i.e shop drawings/Work plans/Locates/Safety requirements including site specific.
  • Document daily work logs showing daily quantities and work progress with pictures.
  • Collaborate with the PM and Engineering team to help resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during installation.
  • Identify potential site related issues/changes.
  • Attend scheduled project meetings with project team and onsite safety meetings (as required)
  • Prioritize and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on site. Escalate any accidents or safety incidents to the PM team and Construction Manager
  • Work closely with the PM Team throughout the project to ensure accurate communication of work progress to the Client/General contractor, including updates on job status, site prerequisites for installation, precise production rates, and timelines.
  • Conduct site walkthrough with GC/Client upon completion to identify any deficiencies or repairs to be completed.
  • Thoroughly examine all materials upon their arrival at the site, identify any deficiencies and promptly notify the PM. Verify that the items received comply with the details specified in the Bill of Lading.
  • Oversee hardware designated for the site and coordinate with the PM to confirm the distribution to the GC/Subcontractor as needed.
  • Work with and maintain positive working relationships with fellow employees, management, the Client, and any other contractor and authorities encountered during their interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Job Requirements_
  • Minimum bachelor's degree or diploma in construction related field or 2 years' experience in construction
  • Strong knowledge on construction principles, practices and techniques, plus pertinent codes, regulations, and statutes
  • Prior experience with Ontario Provincial Standards and MTO Technical Publications is an asset.
  • Experience with MTO contracts is an asset
  • Working experience with MS Office and Windows
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans
  • Strong technical, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated time management, scheduling skills
  • Must be flexible and prepared to work hours outside of our core hours as per site requirements
  • Able to multitask and sustain productivity over long hours in a fastpaced environment
  • Must have a valid G driver's license and a clean driving record and a reliable vehicle as there will be some travel. In addition, some travelling is required outside of the GTA region based on work requirement
  • This is an onsite role which will vary in location as needed
