Job Description:
How You'll Make an Impact:
Reporting to the Director of Labour Relations and Payroll, the role is responsible for and acting as Lead spokesperson at collective agreement negotiations, acting as lead at mediation, and resolution of complex or sensitive labour relations issues.
Your goal is to build and foster positive labour relations with the company's union partners by recommending and implementing strategies and processes in support of these objectives.
Qualifications:
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- University degree in a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' of increasingly progressive labour relations experience in a unionized environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Advanced knowledge of labour laws, practices and principles combined with seasoned frontline experience within workplace situations.
- Strong influencing skills coupled with the ability to interact at all levels.
- Experience in conducting research and preparation for bargaining as well as being lead spokesperson in multiple collective bargaining agreements and in labour dispute resolution.
- Experience in attending and contributing to mediations and arbitrations, representing the organization and its interests.
- Experience in the service industry would be an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
