- erforming sample preparation / extractions of target compounds under specific matrices and methodology._


The key accountabilities of the position are:

  • Review LIMS summary reports to plan and organize daily work
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) when performing sample extraction and cleanup to ensure quality data is provided to the client
  • Identify any nonroutine samples and seek guidance on procedures for handling
  • Ensure priority samples are included in workload in order to meet TAT specifications required by the client
  • Identify and communicate procedural nonconformances to Supervisor
  • Participate, when requested, in method troubleshooting and nonconformance investigations
  • Employ proper laboratory techniques to minimize risk of mislabelling, sample mixup and cross contamination between samples and other materials
  • Accurately prepare all reagents and standards required for the methodology
  • Provide general lab support
  • Post-Secondary school education, preferably in sciences, or equivalent experience
  • Accurately follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and instructions
  • Detail oriented with accurate record keeping skills
  • Good timemanagement, communication, multitasking and priority setting skills
  • Strong computer skills
