Description
The Electromechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining the various Production equipment. He is responsible for diagnosing electrical, mechanical and equipment control problems. It performs various preventive maintenance tasks. It follows the schedule of work to be carried out in maintenance.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF EQUIPMENT

  • Performs electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic analysis and diagnostics during breakdowns on manufacturing or building equipment and carries out the necessary repairs;
  • Performs preventive maintenance according to the established schedule and completes maintenance reports;
  • Conducts minor checks of lowvoltage electrical panels;
  • Plans and supervises the work carried out by external firms;
  • Creates technical drawings and schematics of equipment and systems if they are not available;
  • Ensures the proper functioning of instruments and backup systems;
  • Reports any anomaly on equipment and buildings;
  • Analyzes breakages and proposes solutions to ensure the reliability of equipment
  • Accompany trainees in electromechanics;
  • Plays a key role during power outages or evacuations;
  • Documents alarms on the BAS;
  • Ensures daily monitoring of both purified water systems.
  • Carries out workshop work; conventional machining, bending, TIG welding, polishing and passivation treatments;
  • Interim stationary machine mechanic for weekend BAS alarms. Provides primary verification and refers the emergency to the MMF as required.

SUPPORT AND IMPROVEMENT

  • Consults and advises operators who use the equipment;
  • Assists the validation group during the installations and qualifications of the different systems;
  • Participates in different Kaizen projects with a multidisciplinary team;
  • Participates with the maintenance planner in the preparation of work related to equipment, backup systems and buildings;
  • Works from plans and drawings;
  • Documents the changes to be made to the various preventive maintenance tasks;
  • Applies SST and GMP rules;
  • Performs any other related tasks.

Experience in a similar position

Preferred

  • Having a C license in electricity would be an asset
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical field would be an asset

Education:
Preferred

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies or better in Électromécanique
  • Mechatronics or related field
