Description
We are looking for a Project Associate to join our Capital Planning team.Edison specializes in providing innovative and sustainable engineering solutions for building capital planning, reserve fund studies, performance audits, and property condition assessments.
As an Associate Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of building capital plans, reserve fund studies, performance audits, and property condition assessments for our clients.
You will work closely with our senior engineers and project managers to provide technical support and analysis, while ensuring our clients' capital needs are met in the most cost-effective and sustainable manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to identify building systems and components that require capital improvements or maintenance
- Performing lifecycle cost analyses for building systems and components
- Developing longterm capital plans and reserve fund studies that meet the client's budget and sustainability objectives
- Preparing technical reports and project specifications
- Conducting performance audits and property condition assessments to evaluate the current condition of the building and identify areas of concern
- Collaborating with team members, clients, and contractors to develop project plans and schedules
- Ensuring reports are completed ontime, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Providing technical support during performance audit resolutions and performing field observations to ensure quality control
- Developing and maintaining client relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Science, or Building Science; or Civil Engineering Technologist (CET).
- 2+ years of experience in building capital planning, reserve fund studies, performance audits, and property condition assessments
- Strong technical knowledge in building systems and lifecycle cost analysis
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
