The OmniPod Clinical Sales Specialist, will be accountable for effectively promoting and providing support for the OmniPod Insulin Management System to Health Care Professionals (Endocrinologists, Diabetes Educators, etc.), as well as people living with diabetes and their caregivers.

The OmniPod Clinical Specialist will work in close collaboration with other partners including OmniPod Customer Care in order to support people living with diabetes through the OmniPod acquisition process.

*Please note this position will cover Western Montreal and South Shore*
Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute promotional sales opportunities to people living with diabetes and caregivers through direct interactions.
  • Develop and implement patient focused events such pump information sessions and inoffice educational meetings.
  • Work in close collaboration and synergy with the Customer Care team to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the territory, marketplace, and competitive landscape with respect to insulin pumps.
  • Provide ongoing OmniPod product education and training to increase confidence with OmniPod for health care professionals in diabetes clinics.
  • Own the development and implementation on a strategic multilevel stake holder's business plan, aiming at driving optimal adoption of the Omnipod Insulin Management System.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Diabetes Educator and/or nurse with insulin pump experience.
  • Sales experience in medical devices, consumer goods or diabetes devices (pumps, meters) a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

  • In depth understanding of type 1 and/ot type 2 diabetes and insulin therapy is needed.
  • Well proven track record of entrepreneurship and ability to work with a high level of autonomy.
  • Bilingual in French and English.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work and navigate in a complex environment, requiring the integration and alignment of multiple stakeholders.
  • Communication: Highly developed verbal communication skills with high versatility.
  • Strong ability in building relationships with high level of empathy across customer types.
  • Strong team player with proven leadership skills.
  • Interpersonal communications both oral and written.

Physical Requirements:

  • This position requires the ability to travel up to 30% of the time and requires the ability to drive routinely on company business.

This position requires field-based working arrangements (travel within assigned territory required). #LI-Remote
