Resource Development Manager


Reporting to the Director of Resource Development, the Resource Development Manager will provide support in all aspects of fund development with an emphasis on grant writing and stewardship for Blue Door's social enterprise "Construct".


What does a Resource Development Manager do?

  • Collaborate closely with program teams to gather necessary information for grant submissions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with funding objectives.
  • Research and assess funding opportunities to identify prospects that align with Blue Door's strategic plan, overseeing the development of a robust prospect pipeline.
  • Distribute proposal writing tasks among team members, including the direct report and Resource Development Coordinator, to optimize resource allocation.
  • Develop a compelling case for support for Blue Door's services, emphasizing impact and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage stewardship initiatives, including planning and executing recognition events for funders, and engaging donors through regular updates and communication channels.
  • Support revenue generation efforts by assisting in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, spanning direct mail, signature events, and thirdparty initiatives.

What you bring to the table

  • 35 years experience in grant writing, fundraising, and/or notforprofit communications.
  • Postsecondary education in fundraising, business, or a related field.
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with the ability to deliver impactful touchpoints with different audiences.
  • Experience with various fundraising platforms and tools such as DonorPerfect and Salesforce is an asset.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, research skills, and ability to follow through with a high sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge of the housing/homelessness sector and fundraising best practices are an asset.

Salary information:
$60,000 - $75,000

$60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
