Description
Tamarack Industries, leader in mobile glycol heating systems is growing and we are looking for a Material Handler/Courier to help organize our storage areas and support our shipping/receiving department by picking up materials when needed.
The Material Handler/Courier will be responsible for providing logĂstical support for the movement, storage, control and protection of materials, supplies, work in process products and finished products.
The Material Handler is also able to perform shipping and receiving tasks, support the Supply Chain, as well as to perform driver duties such as picking up materials.
Responsibilities:
- Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.
- Load and unload packages
- Pick up supplies from different vendors.
- Driving to different locations as requested
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, cranes etc.
- Receive and check incoming pick tickets.
- Wrap orders and place them on trucks for delivery.
- Document orders, materials and any stock movements
- Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
- Locates and packs materials for shipping.
- Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
- Documents product shipment by recording units shipped.
- Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
- Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate or similar position
- Experience in using warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Have a valid driver's license
- Reliability and trustworthiness
- Punctuality, time management and a sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Clean driving record
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
- High school diploma
- Adept at handling multiple complex tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency with prioritizing and meeting multiple deadlines.
- Ability to lift heavy materials.
