Description
Scheduling and executing production equipment maintenance and repairs.

  • Coordination of major repairs to existing equipment and installation of new equipment.

Relationships:

  • Works in cooperation with management and various production departments.
  • Departments include: Painting, Water Filtration, Sand Blasting, LPI.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Training employees with respect to technical equipment operation and safety as required.
  • Ability to liaison with other company areas & departments when required and as necessary.
  • Assist in research and evaluation of new equipment requirements and specifications.
  • Assist and direct subcontractors working in area.
  • Assist in completion of internal auditing requirement when necessary.

Position Specifications:

  • Training in WHMIS, First Aid and Reach Truck Operation.
  • Knowledge of safety precautions and safe handling of materials.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to read and write English.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to comprehend and evaluate technical specifications.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to make decisions and prioritize.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in repair and service of electromechanical systems, components and equipment. Graduates of Industrial Maintenance programs preferred.
  • Above average communication and problem solving skills with a positive professional team player attitude
  • Strong abilities to work with hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • A multitasking selfstarter who can work in a fast paced environment.
  • Must have computer skills and drivers license.
Hours of Work

  • 8:00am 4:30pm (some evenings and weekends may be required)
  • Overtime may also be required based on the needs of the business

Salary:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour
