Electronic Technician / Airborne Field Operator

Job Duties_
Install, maintain and troubleshoot airborne geophysical equipment.
Operate airborne geophysical equipment inflight.
Daily flying in a helicopter for several hours.
Service and repair field equipment in the warehouse when not on a field assignment.
Requirements_
Electronic Technician college diploma or equivalent.
Practical handson experience in operating/maintaining/troubleshooting electronic equipment.
Ability to travel for extended periods weeks at a time).
Ability to fly in a helicopter for 8 hours daily.
Previous experience in airborne geophysics is an asset.
Job requires ability to work with tools and materials.
Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 50 lbs.
Strong problem solving techniques.
A valid motor vehicle license (G class).
Work conditions_
Ability to travel for extended periods (68 weeks at a time) required.
Accommodations range from hotels to tents in remote locations across Canada and USA.

Geological Data Technicians

Expert Geophysics Limited is hiring two Geological Data Technicians to perform the following duties:

Conduct or direct geological, geophysical, geochemical, surveys, prospecting field trips
Configure, operate and maintain geophysical survey instruments and equipment
Prepare notes, sketches, geological maps and cross sections
Prepare, transcribe geophysical survey data
Conduct geological and geophysical studies for regional development
Assist in preparing, transcribing or analyzing geophysical and survey data
Data processing and interpretation of electromagnetic, magnetic data
Recommend the acquisition of lands, exploration and mapping programs and mine development
Requirements_
Minimum one year of relevant experience in geophysical data processing
Diploma or above in geology, geophysics, geophysical studies or a related discipline preferred, but not a condition of employment
Plan and organize initiatives to meet predetermined target dates and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to make timely and effective decisions
Willingness to travel as needed
Detailoriented and ability to keep accurate notes
Geosoft Oasis Montaj and GIS software experience
Coding and programming skills is an asset
Strong understanding of geophysical principles
