Position
Habitat for Humanity Edmonton is seeking a full-time Marketing Specialist.


This position is responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, data analysis, campaign development, supports the growth of a Habitat for Humanity Edmonton's (HFHE) services and programs.

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for upholding the organization's brand standards, and engaging with stakeholders in an authentic manner.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Execution of marketing strategies for all business areas.
  • Maintain brand standards for Habitat for Humanity and ReStore.
  • Develop content for creative marketing campaigns.
  • Work within a team context to develop content for social media, digital channels, and website.
  • Work within a team to respond to social media comments and inquiries.
  • Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development, advertising, etc.)
  • Conduct market research.
  • Ongoing data analysis to improve upon strategies and effectiveness, and databacked recommendations regarding emerging trends in marketing.
  • Collaborate with others to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
  • Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
  • Responsible to analyze data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic, etc.) to help shape future marketing and communication strategies.
  • Plan and execute marketing initiatives to reach target audiences.
  • Liaise with third party vendors in regards to marketing.
  • Managing ongoing updates to website and online development content.
  • Ongoing auditing of all communication and marketing platforms.
  • Other special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • B.Sc. /B.A. in marketing, communications or equivalent is preferred.
  • Marketing background with experience in the retail or charitable/notforprofit sectors.
  • Understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing, such as SEO/social media, etc.) and market research methods.
  • Understand the difference between sponsorship marketing, benefits, activation vs. philanthropic giving.
  • Knowledge in marketing events.
  • Commercial awareness partnered with a creative mind.
  • Analytical thinker with strong theoretical and research proficiencies.
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills.
  • Wellorganized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Graphic design experience is an asset.
