    Description
    ISC Applied Systems is a Canadian company specialized in the field of information and safety systems for passenger trains for more than forty (40) years. We develop fully integrated solutions to inform, monitor and communicate with our rail passengers worldwide.The hardware designer supports the processes used to design, update, and repair the hardware aspect of our products. He plays a key role in the evolution and integration of the hardware architecture of our communication and surveillance systems by meeting the specific requirements of the client.

    RESPONSIBILITIESDevelopment Management:- Ensure that documentation is written and updated according to ISC standards,- Optimize the performance and quality of deliverables associated with hardware activities,- Estimate activities and report on progress,- Ensure that the standards and procedures associated with the development of the material are applied,- Improve the work environment, tools, and process,- Ensure good interdepartmental communication.

    Design- Analyze user requirements, and design and develop system architecture and specifications,- Participate in new hardware development (schematic design, selection of electronic components, layout, and qualifications),- Develop and conduct design verification simulations and prototype bench tests for components,- Establish qualification testing requirements and check/approve qualification reports to ensure electrical, climatic, and electromagnetic compliance are met,- Participate in the development of jigs, test firmware and test procedure for production,

    Troubleshoot, test, and manage product configuration and life cycle- Perform the development, verification, and validation of printed circuit board prototypes,- Troubleshoot malfunctioning hardware components or systems to identify and resolve problems.- Maintain BOM and library of electronic components and manage obsolescence of these components in a product.

    EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:Education and experience:- Bachelor's degree in electronics (or equivalent)- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering,- Experience in a manufacturing environment.

    Technical skills:- Knowledge in electronic design (digital, analog)- Advanced skills in troubleshooting and debugging methodology,- Familiar with laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, function generator and specialized test equipment)- Knowledge of printed circuit board design standards (IPC)- Knowledge of printed circuit board design (PCB/A) using Altium Designer or equivalent software,- Knowledge in programming (C/C++) for hardware bring-up purpose,- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel- Knowledge in the following is an asset:o Knowledge of industry standards for interference and electromagnetic immunity and environmental testing (IEEE / IEC / EN)o Scripting language (Python)o NXP microcontrollerso PCB design tool such as Altiumo CAD tools such as SolidWorkso Familiar with Jira & ERP

    RESPONSABILITÉSGestion de développement:- S'assurer que la documentation est rédigée et mise à jour selon les normes ISC,- Optimiser la performance et la qualité des livrables associés aux activités hardware,- Estimer les activités et rendre compte de l'avancement,- S'assurer que les normes et procédures associées à l'élaboration du matériel sont appliquées,- Améliorer l'environnement de travail, les outils et les processus,- Assurer une bonne communication interdépartementale.

    Conception- Analyser les besoins des utilisateurs, concevoir et développer l'architecture et les spécifications du système,- Participer au développement de nouveaux matériels (conception schématique, sélection des composants électroniques, implantation et qualifications),- Développer et mener des simulations de vérification de la conception et des bancs d'essais de prototypes pour les composants,- Établir les exigences des tests de qualification et vérifier/approuver les rapports de qualification pour s'assurer que la conformité électrique, climatique et électromagnétique est respectée,- Participer au développement des gabarits, tester le firmware et la procédure de test pour la production,

    Dépanner, tester et gérer la configuration et le cycle de vie du produit- Effectuer le développement, la vérification et la validation de prototypes de circuits imprimés,- Dépanner les composants matériels ou les systèmes défectueux pour identifier et résoudre les problèmes.- Maintenir la nomenclature et la bibliothèque des composants électroniques et gérer l'obsolescence de ces composants dans un produit.

    EXIGENCES D'EMPLOI:

    Formation et expérience :- Baccalauréat en électronique (ou équivalent)- Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en ingénierie matérielle,- Expérience dans un environnement manufacturier.

    Compétences techniques:- Connaissances en conception électronique (numérique, analogique)- Compétences avancées en méthodologie de dépannage et de débogage,- Familier avec les équipements de laboratoire (oscilloscope, générateur de fonctions et équipements de test spécialisés)- Connaissance des normes de conception de circuits imprimés (IPC)- Connaissance de la conception de cartes de circuits imprimés (PCB/A) à l'aide d'Altium Designer ou d'un logiciel équivalent,- Connaissances en programmation (C/C++) à des fins de mise à niveau matérielle,- Familier avec la suite Microsoft Office : Word, Excel- Des connaissances dans les domaines suivants sont un atout :o Connaissance des normes de l'industrie pour les interférences et l'immunité électromagnétique et les tests environnementaux (IEEE / IEC / EN)o Langage de script (Python)o Microcontrôleurs NXPo Outil de conception de PCB tel qu'Altiumo Outils de CAO tels que SolidWorkso Familier avec Jira et ERP
