AMANDA BUSINESS SPECIALIST (Hybrid)
improving processes and the efficient delivery of services to internal and external stakeholders of City
Development.


Successful applicants will possess the following:

  • Successful completion of a university Degree in Computer Science or similar field of study, or a
combination of training, education and experience deemed acceptable by the Corporation.

  • Certification in Developing SQL Queries for Oracle Databases & Oracle PL/SQL Programming.
  • Three years of diversified and progressively more responsible workrelated experience preferably in a
municipal environment.

  • Experience with and technical knowledge of Granicus AMANDA 7 platform.
  • Knowledge of Planning and Building Permit processes is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, organizational, communication (written and oral), report writing,
presentation skills, leadership, coaching, team building, project management, negotiation, conflict
resolution and customer service skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team and ability to coordinate major projects.
  • Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, and the community, to
maintain a professional outlook in an atmosphere of competing interests and time constraints.

  • Proven ability to read, understand and interpret reference surveys, plans of subdivision, site plans,
architectural plans and development and building related engineering drawings.

  • Demonstrable understanding of the purpose and characteristics of landbased records and control
systems, and their implementation.

  • Demonstrable ability to prepare accurate, concise and descriptive statistical charts, written reports, and
presentation drawings.

  • Must be prepared to undergo a Criminal Reference Check as a condition of employment.
Compensation includes the ability to work a hybrid remote schedule, a comprehensive benefits package,
pension plan, and an annual salary range starting at $72,308.60 to $80,334.80 based on 35 hours per week.
