Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to lead our dynamic warehouse operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of warehouse management, including inventory control, logistics, and team supervision. Your leadership will ensure the efficient movement of goods, adherence to safety standards, and continuous process improvement to optimize productivity. Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high levels of productivity and safety compliance.
- Oversee transportation planning and coordination with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and carriers to optimize freight movement and delivery schedules.
- Implement process improvements utilizing Lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400, and supply chain analytics tools to monitor performance metrics and streamline workflows.
- Maintain accurate inventory control through regular cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation efforts.
- Develop budgets, manage procurement activities, and oversee purchasing to ensure cost-effective operations aligned with company goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, forklift operation standards, and shipping & receiving protocols.
- Lead initiatives in demand planning, production planning, and supply chain management to meet customer expectations efficiently.
- Coordinate dispatching, fleet management, materials management, and freight logistics to support seamless warehouse distribution.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a fast-paced logistics or distribution environment.
- Strong background in supply chain management principles including inventory management, procurement, transportation management systems (TMS), and freight forwarding.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively with supervising experience in warehouse or logistics settings.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like Co-star or similar platforms for supply chain analytics and reporting.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is highly desirable.
- Experience managing 3PL providers and coordinating transportation planning for optimal freight efficiency.
- Skilled in budgeting, demand planning, production scheduling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
