Product Manager - Mission Systems

We are currently seeking a Product Manager for our mission systems products SkyLink and LaunchPADS.

What will you be doing?

The Product Manager - Mission Systems will be responsible for managing MMIST's key products SkyLink Parachutist Navigation and Situational Awareness System and LaunchPADS Multi-Mission Manager over their full life cycle, to ensure these products are competitive in the market, meet customer needs and internal strategic requirements, while maintaining clear design and configuration control.

Over time you will become an expert in aerial delivery and recovery systems, through pairing with the experienced team at MMIST, and through firsthand experience gained supporting field testing, training, and real-life use of the products.

Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for that aligns with MMIST's goals and market demands. Identify new features, enhancements, and capabilities to improve the product's value proposition.
Engage with key stakeholders, such as military commanders, field operators, and government agencies, to gather feedback, understand user needs, and prioritize product features. Build strong relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and gather market intelligence.
Create and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product's future direction and key milestones. Prioritize feature development based on user feedback, market trends, and organizational goals.
Manage the complete product lifecycle, including BOM/ERP management, costing, part obsolescence, production support, product backlog/releases, change management, and product lifecycle/sustainment management.
Develop and manage release planning to ensure that products is delivered ontime and within budget.
Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities to improve the product's cost structure.
Work closely with the quality assurance team to define testing requirements, ensure product quality, and address any issues or bugs. Conduct regular product testing and performance evaluations.
Monitor and manage product performance and KPIs to ensure that the product meets customer needs and quality standards.

What do we need from you?

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Experience managing the complete product lifecycle
Strong understanding of mission planning systems, geospatial technologies, and situational awareness tools, with specific experience in TAK/ATAK
Familiarity with military, law enforcement, or emergency response operations and requirements/products
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools
Experience in product marketing and gotomarket strategies is a plus
Experience with ISO 9001:2000 and/or AS9100.
