Description

SCOPE
This position is responsible for operational Human Resources duties for the Fluid Power Solutions Mississauga facility. The incumbent works closely with the all levels within the organization.

Daily interaction with plant staff and external contacts to manage staffing needs, HRIS, employee relations and benefits administration, lead the recruitment, training and development functions.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tracking, documenting, delivering and facilitating training initiatives for the facility.
  • Schedule and conduct orientations for new employees, explaining policies and procedures, and company benefits.
  • Employee relations interaction, coaching and support.
  • Scheduling HR or Communications related meetings, interviews etc. for members of the management team.
  • Payroll, time and attendance, pension and benefit administration support
  • Social event planning and coordination
  • Administrative duties as well as routine and ad hoc reporting
  • Continuous followup to ensure outstanding documentation is being submitted.
  • Maintaining employee files, training records and health\confidential information.
  • Process all vacation for hourly employees including record keeping and reporting
  • Work in compliance with Stackpole FPS Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the HR Manager or Senior leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required to be a graduate of a post diploma program in Human Resources Management, or degree with HR Management option and be working towards or possess their CHRP designation or appropriate combination of education & relevant experience
  • 5 to 7 years' work experience in Human Resources
  • Previous recruitment experience required
  • Must possess strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • HRIS, payroll and time and attendance experience would be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving, and responsiveness to customer needs
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be considered an asset
  • Able to complete multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines
